One of the known JailBreak Conference has just ended and @pod2g, who’s a very well known iOS hacker in the community has discussed about the vulnerabilities that has been fixed with iOS 6. Undoubtedly, Apple has fixed almost everything which had led to iOS 5.1.1 untethered JailBreak for iDevices. The hacker has also cleared in Q&A session that the bootrom exploit which exists for A4 devices can’t be extended further for A5, A5X or A6.
Every processor, from A5 to A6 is different from its predecessor. Hence, hackers needs to figure out various other bugs which could be used for the JailBreak purpose. Nevertheless, they also want to scale the number of people in hacking community. So that things could gain momentum. Although hackers might be working to release JailBreak for iOS 6, they would release it so soon. Otherwise, all the hard work which hackers have done would ultimately go to trash.
Since they want to make the most out of it, it’s essential for them to wait for some more time. Apple could probably push another minor iOS update like iOS 6.0.1 in few days which could aim at the exploit found by the iOS hackers. However, the bootrom exploit which is associated with A4 devices would let them remain on a tethered JailBreak unless untethered solution is not discovered.
Are you waiting eagerly for an iOS 6 JailBreak? Let’s know your thoughts in comment section.
